Access Scientific manufactured the Powerwand, a family of midline and extended dwell catheters. Prior to its acquisition, Access Scientific had raised approximately $21.4M. The value of the acquisition was undisclosed.

The company’s first product, the xvision-spine system, received 510(k) clearance from the FDA in December 2019. With the latest round of fundraising, the company has raised $25.1M. Major strategics have yet to make a committed move to acquire AR startups. Other competitors in this space include EchoPixel, SentiAr, and MediView XR.


CereVasc
is developing a novel shunt system for the treatment of communicating hydrocephalus
In June 2020, CereVasc completed a Series A round raising $44M in capital from two investors – ATON Partners and Perceptive Advisors. The company is developing the eShunt System, a minimally invasive CSF shunt. Key strategics in this market include B. Braun and Medtronic.

The company recently raised $7.2M to support the commercialization of its low-profile emobolic device which features the company’s proprietary HDBraid technology. The minimally invasive cardiovascular devices market is one of the largest medtech markets, with major competitors such as Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic.

Adam is a minimally invasive hydrogel device that is non-hormonal, long-lasting, and easily reversible. The company recently completed a Series A round for an undisclosed amount of money. The Series A round was led by FundRx.
